1. Utilize the Doors & Walls:

Some of the most un-utilized space can be right in front of you! Adding hooks to the walls for hanging purses, jewelry, scarves, and belts can help clear off shelves for other items to be folded and create a visually striking accent as well as organization for items that get tucked away or tangled. Consider placing a shoe racks on the back of a door to give you a clear view of your footwear while keeping them easily accessible. Try and utilize any nook and cranny.

3. Fold over hang:

Some items store better folded such as sweaters, sweatshirts, jeans, and other bulky items, while others are better hung such as dresses, skirts and tops. If you are limited on space (or not) add shelving, cubbies or baskets for keeping bulky folded items stylishly stored and contained to specific areas.

4. Utilize Clothing Dividers:

Create dividers between hangers to help categorize your clothing and easily locate that specific shirt you are looking for. You can section off items for colors, style (tank tops, short sleeves, blouses, cardigans), or even by what you’ve worn and haven’t worn yet, work clothes vs play clothes, or any other fun categories. Try out chalkboard labels or other reusable labels incase you change your mind or add a new category.

5. Consider additional Storage Space:

Think outside your closet for added storage space for shoes or seasonal items. Think under the bed or in a dresser for additional space. If you have the space, consider adding a garment rack for additional clothing you need to hang. This can make an elegant way to showcase your finest clothes items or help pick out your weekly attire and put them on display for quick changes or morning routines.
